Some Embodiments of the Messengers

In some of embodiments of the messengers and probably many of them, the two incarnated at the same time and place and worked together as they supported each other to help advance their joint mission.Their lives intertwined over the centuries, which is not uncommon for twin flames, as they are.

Mark was embodied as Noah, the obedient servant of God that built the Ark that saved his family as a remnant and the pairs of animals to help repopulate the area where the Ark would land.

The ascended masters teach that Noah lived on Atlantis and the epic flood documented in the Old Testament was combined with the geologic sinking of Atlantis as recompense for the horrendous evil that had overtaken that continent about 12,500 years ago.

Noah's ark was a huge life raft for his family and animals

This is a computer-generated simulation of the Ark of Noah. An actual replica of the Ark with a rounded bow and stern is anchored in Rotterdam Harbor.

Noah lived in a time when people lived several hundred years and he and his family had to withstand the torment of the rebellious population for 100 years, the time it took to build the Ark and domesticate the animals that would also be saved.

Mark was embodied in ancient Egypt as Amenhotep IV and later changed his name to Ikhnaton in honor of the one God he referred to as “Aton.” Ikhnaton believed that God was the spiritual force and personality behind the physical sun and that the warmth and light released by the sun was an expression of this God-being that activated and animated life on earth. This was a profound early form of monotheism that influenced religious belief in later centuries. His wife, the famed Nefertiti, was an embodiment of Elizabeth Clare Prophet and together they brought high culture of art and music in their capital of Tel el Amarna.

Mark Prophet was embodied as John Mark, the writer of the gospel named after him. His mother was Mary of Jerusalem who was a close devotee of Jesus. The Last Supper was observed in Mary of Jerusalem’s house. Mark was a young boy at the time of Jesus mission. The following excerpt from The Path to Immortality tells important details about Mark’s life.

"Having been raised in the Essene tradition and having witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, Mark became the chief disciple of Peter. Mark founded the church in Alexandria, which was to become the foremost proponents of the deeper mysteries of Christianity, and he was later martyred there by being dragged through the streets."

Elizabeth Clare Prophet was embodied during the time of Jesus' mission as Martha, the sister of Mary of Jerusalem, John Mark’s mother. Martha and Mary had the powerful experience of their brother, Lazurus, being raised by Jesus from the dead. This is an amazing story in the Bible well worth reading and remembering. (John 11:1-46) It contains the following exchange between Martha and Jesus that occurs before Lazurus is raised.

"Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary stayed still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, what thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believeth thou this? She said unto him, Yea, Lord, I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, that should come into the world."

Jesus, Martha, Mary and many Jews that were friends proceed to Lazurus’ tomb where Jesus calls forth Lazurus soul and spirit back into his body and he returns to life after having been dead four days.

It is worth noting that Mary of Jerusalem was later embodied as Mary Baker Eddy the founder of Christian Science. And as an example of how things can tie together lifetime after lifetime, Elizabeth in this life became a student of Christian Science for several years as a teenager and young adult prior to starting her study and training as a messenger.

The beloved American poet and writer Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) was another embodiment of Mark Prophet. Longfellow was highly motivated to be successful in literature. Through a top rate education in New England and extensive travels in Europe, he developed his verbal and literary skills and coupled these with cultural knowledge to launch a successful career in teaching and writing. He had to overcome more than one personal tragedy to fulfill his inner mission. His writing style is usually uplifting and revealing of the hidden things of life, such as reflecting the mysteries of nature, searching of the soul, and the inner meanings of experiences.

The following statements are excerpted from an assessment of Longfellow by The Editors of the Encyclopaedia Britannica.

"During his lifetime Longfellow was loved and admired both at home and abroad. Sweetness, gentleness, simplicity, and a romantic vision shaded by melancholy are the characteristic features of Longfellow’s poetry. Some of Longfellow’s sonnets and other lyrics are still among the finest in American poetry, and Hiawatha, “The Wreck of the Hesperus,” Evangeline, and “Paul Revere’s Ride” have become inseparable parts of the American heritage.

"Longfellow’s immense popularity helped raise the status of poetry in his country, and he played an important part in bringing European cultural traditions to American audiences."

One more embodiment of Elizabeth Clare Prophet I would like to mention is that of Elisabeth, Empress of Austria (1837-1898). Elisabeth was the wife of Francis Joseph Emperor of Austria and king of Hungary. The ascended masters were trying to work through the Austro-Hungarian Empire as a final attempt to unite Europe by instituting democratic reforms, which unfortunately failed. The soul of the messenger learned aspects of the administration of government and how to constructively interact with people of all types and levels in this embodiment. She was very popular with the citizens of the Empire.
